Compared to previous company-organized events, the "East-West Chong Trekking" activity gave us a greater sense of accomplishment. This was reflected in two aspects:
1. High enthusiasm during registration During the initial registration, everyone showed great interest in this event, and sign-ups were very enthusiastic. The first registration, apart from employees whose birthdays fall in the next two months, also saw active participation from many outdoor enthusiasts in the company. The response was so overwhelming that we avoided widespread promotion, worrying the participant count might exceed manageable limits. Even though ten fewer people joined than listed on the final pre-departure count, this did not diminish the enthusiasm of other participants.
2. Fully engaged and thoroughly enjoyable experience During the activity, there were participants with lower stamina, some who rarely exercise, and a few who couldn’t keep up with the main group. However, regardless of the situation, our emergency support team was always by their side, and the group adjusted its pace when necessary. At the seaside, participants chatted, enjoyed the view, took photos, and collected shells and stones, filling the journey with laughter and joy.
There were several challenging sections of the trail, such as areas requiring rope-assisted climbing or leaping over large rocks. Here, the male participants played a crucial role: some pulled from above, others provided support in the middle, and a few ensured safety below, all while shouting reminders like, “Step carefully!” This spirit of teamwork made the entire trek feel easy and enjoyable.
New colleagues remarked: “Does the company often organize activities like this? It’s so much fun! I just arrived in Shenzhen and already got to join such an exciting event. I’m so happy!”
Veteran colleagues added: “I’ve hiked Wutong Mountain several times and always wanted to do this trek. Finally, it’s done! It feels amazing!”
The entire East-West Chong trek was completed smoothly in 5.5 hours. For a large group like ours, this pace was quite reasonable. When the final timing was announced, everyone was thrilled. Most of the excitement came from conquering this beautiful coastal trail together.
Evening BBQ: The Grand Finale The evening barbecue brought the activity to a climax: Wang Song’s group served delicious grilled meat; Li Wenjun’s team’s corn was fragrant and enticing; Luo Huizhi’s group entertained with soulful singing; Xu Libin’s team’s grilled bananas had a unique flavor; Xiong Wangzhong’s group’s stir-fried vegetables cooked over fierce flames sparked cheers. Finally, the must-have cake battle ended the activity on a joyful note, filling the air with laughter and fun.
